RALEIGH, N.C. – October 17, 2025 – What started as a creative twist on mini golf in South Raleigh has evolved into one of the most recognizable entertainment brands in North Carolina. ParTee Shack’s ability to combine originality, atmosphere, and accessible fun has built a devoted fanbase and ignited a new wave of expansion. Now, the same Leadership Team is pushing that success to the next level with the launch of Battle & Birdie, opening on November 11th in Midtown Raleigh.

ParTee Shack became a household name through a combination of clever marketing, innovation, and a relentless focus on creating memorable experiences. Each course was designed and built internally, with the company’s own warehouse and manufacturing team responsible for its signature obstacles: shuffleboard, photobooths, basketball hoops, roulette tables, ziplines, skateboard mazes, and more. Every course is custom-built with motors, moving parts, and creative engineering that have set a new standard for the family entertainment space.

John Berger, CEO and Co-Founder, said, “We’ve always taken pride in doing things differently. We build all of the courses ourselves and that’s what gave ParTee Shack its magic. Battle & Birdie will take that same spirit and channel it through large-scale design and a partnership network that lets us scale faster than ever before.”

Battle & Birdie represents a major step forward for the team, not just in concept but in reach. While ParTee Shack’s courses are crafted almost entirely in-house, Battle & Birdie will be the first concept to partner with an external design and engineering firm to produce future locations at scale. The partnership includes full engineering, design, and manufacturing capabilities, laying the groundwork for a rapid expansion strategy across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.

The new 19,590-square-foot venue in Raleigh’s Celebration at Six Forks development will feature two world-class tactical laser tag arenas, two neon-lit mini golf courses, and a full bar and lounge. Over a million dollars has been invested into the laser tag arenas alone, which are themed around the Men in Black universe. One arena drops players into a spaceship command center, while the other immerses them in a desolate, alien farmland. Both are built to rival the quality of theme park experiences.

The venue will feature a full bar, and a lounge that overlooks the arenas, creating an entirely new social atmosphere for Raleigh. Battle & Birdie will implement adult-only hours Monday through Saturday starting at 8 p.m., with guests under 21 asked to leave after that time. The concept’s combination of interactive play and elevated nightlife has already drawn significant attention. Its Instagram has gained over 20,000 followers before the venue has even opened its doors.

Chief Marketing Officer Danté Valor said, “We’ve seen what happens when a concept connects with people. ParTee Shack became a cultural phenomenon, attracting 160,000 followers on Instagram, garnering attention from Shark Tank, and ESPN featuring us on their social media because the mini golf is incredibly unique. Battle & Birdie will tap into that same energy. It’s a place that’s every bit as thrilling for adults at night as it is for families during the day.”

Though both brands share the same leadership, they remain distinct entities with their own audiences and identities. Where ParTee Shack is rooted in family competition and creativity, Battle & Birdie leans into technology, tactical gameplay, and more of an adult atmosphere. The structure mirrors companies like Dave & Buster’s and Main Event, but with one key difference: the team intends to capitalize on cross-promotional potential and a social media following that those national brands often overlook.

“We’re definitely going to make waves at IAAPA this year,” Valor said. “Usually, people come to us for advice, but this time, we’ll be walking in with two powerful brands. They’re both successful and both ready to scale. I believe it’ll soon draw serious attention from private equity firms and potential partners across the country.”

With ParTee Shack continuing to expand in the Southeast—Charleston, South Carolina in development for 2026—and Battle & Birdie preparing for rapid rollout beyond its flagship, the company’s future looks anything but par for the course.
